Chairman & CEO of Spero Impact Solutions; Chair of the Board of Trustees of World ORT; Former CEO, World Jewish Congress.

Robert Singer served as the Chief Executive Officer of the World Jewish Congress (WJC), the leading umbrella organization of Jewish communities around the world from 2013-2019, and as Chief Executive Officer of World ORT (WO), the world’s largest Jewish education and training organization from 1999-2013, before being elected as its Chair of the Board of Trustees in May 2020.

Mr. Singer traveled extensively throughout the world, visiting Jewish communities in more than 60 countries while enhancing the WJC and WO’s global diplomatic and educational presence. He has participated in meetings with presidents and prime ministers of various nations, as well as prominent government, business, faith and civil society leaders, including Pope Francis, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, International Red Cross President Peter Maurer and many others.

Mr. Singer has also spoken at, and participated in, many high-profile events on behalf of the world Jewry including at the United Nations in New York, addressing a demonstration outside the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, the 75th anniversary of the Babi Yar massacre in Kyiv, international conferences of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Organization of American States (OAS) counter-terrorism sessions, and the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem’s (ICEJ) Feast of Tabernacles, among others.

On behalf of Diaspora Jewish communities, Mr. Singer regularly engaged with Israeli government officials and other institutions in the Jewish state.

Currently, Mr. Singer serves as Chairman & CEO of Spero Impact Solutions, Chairman of SASA Setton and Chairman of Alumot Or, as well as other public positions.

Robert Singer was born in Ukraine in 1956 and immigrated to Israel at the age of 15. He graduated from Tel Aviv University, Israel, in 1976 with a degree in Political Science and History. Mr. Singer served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for eleven years and left the army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1987. Mr. Singer spent twelve years with the Office of the Prime Minister in Israel in a number of senior posts. In 1996, he received a Master’s degree in management engineering from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
